MasTec is comprised of 9 subsidiaries, each one serving a different industry with different services and seeking unique customers. Some build and maintain solar power plants and wind farms, some build trans-continental gas pipelines or waterways, others specialize in wireless, broadband and communication infrastructure. With so many entities, and such a complex service offering, MasTec's challenge was describing what they do in a comprehensive, cohesive way, uniting the company under one unified brand identity.
How Did We Do It?
Through our Key Messaging process, Moncur Associates helped MasTec identify and communicate their disparate service offerings within a single brand message and associated hierarchy. We also developed guidelines for each subsidiary so that they would fold seamlessly into the MasTec brand without losing its individual identity. Next, we created a corporate website that organized services in by industry, in a way that would resonate with clients, analysts and investors. The site includes a color-coded interactive map so visitors can see the full scope of MasTec's projects, and a sophisticated lead-gen system that captures leads by industry and delivers them directly to the most relevant business development team members.
